Join historian and author Ed Moser at the National Portrait Gallery of Art for a grand tour of one of America’s finest, most underrated museums, as he walks you through the intricate interplay of history and art. While you admire paintings, by the finest artists of the time, of soldier Stephen Decatur, novelist Harriet Ward Beecher Stowe, architect H.R. Richardson, and Edgar Allen Poe, he’ll entertain you with little-known tales of their romances, rivalries, triumphs, and tragedies.

Edward is a former speechwriter for the President of the United States. He was also a writer for Jay Leno’s “The Tonight Show”, and an ex-Editor of Time-Life Books. He is the author, co-author, or editor of 12 published books, on such subjects as history, politics, humor, and technology. Turner Publishing Company published his work, A Patriot’s A to Z of America, a series of vignettes on famous events in U.S. history. His most recent book, The Two-Term Jinx, is a history of the presidency.
Edward also published a satire of official Washington, D.C., Foundering Fathers: What Jefferson, Franklin, and Abigail Adams Saw in Modern D.C.! He’s now working on a book on his popular history tours of the White House and Lafayette Square. His M.A. in public affairs is from George Washington University in D.C., and his B.A. in history is from the State University of New York at Albany.
